May 2026 Recap

May was a big one at The Spot. Thank you for showing up, training hard and bringing such good energy into the studio.

What happened in May

Our winter merch launched, perfect for keeping cosy heading into the colder months.

Ian’s Krump Course and Izzy’s Heels Back to Basics course both drew amazing numbers. We loved seeing the rooms full.

Li’s Beginner Heels workshop was a standout session.

Kids Breaking with Shadow got off to a great start. It was super fun, super wholesome, and the kids responded so well.

Our Wednesday Vogue Practice Space kept growing, and it was so good to see it feeling full and vibrant for the ballroom community.

PB&J Vol. 10 was one of our biggest street battles yet, with so much talent and such a strong atmosphere in the room.

We also welcomed our new receptionist, Belle. Say hi when you’re in.

Heading into June, there was plenty more on the way:

Female Dancehall with Kiara: Kiara was set to teach at The Spot for the first time.
Krump Course: four more weeks through June, with walk-ins welcome any week.
May/June promo: still running into June.
SpotLite Litefeet Jam: monthly jam sessions hosted by DJ Picto, starting 2 June. Free for members, $5 for non-members.
Second-Hand Clothing Market: after the success of the first one, a second market was locked in for 16 August, 10am to 1pm.
