October at The Spot was a whirlwind of excitement, creativity, and community spirit! Here’s a look back at all the highlights that made this month one to remember.

🎃 A Spooktacular Lolly Jar Competition

To celebrate the spooky season, we kicked off October with a fun Lolly Jar Competition. The challenge? Guess how many lollies were in the jar! Every class attended earned visitors and members an entry, meaning the more you danced, the better your chances.

On Halloween, we crowned our winner: Megan Hunter, with a guess of 206 (the jar held 205). Megan walked away with the jar of lollies AND a $50 credit to her account—talk about a sweet treat! To top it off, our studio was decked out in festive Halloween decor, adding a spooky flair to every session.

👠 New Classes: Double the Heels, Double the Fun

October brought two incredible Intermediate Heels classes to our timetable:

• Shayni Woods led the charge on Tuesdays at 7:45pm.
• Rhianna Tunks took over Thursdays at 7:45pm.

These classes were nothing short of phenomenal. Shayni and Rhianna brought their unique styles and shared their expertise, offering students two distinct perspectives on the same empowering genre.

🏠 Our First House Warming Jam

We also launched a brand-new tradition: the House Warming Jam, hosted by the talented duo Illy and Logan. Taking place on the first Friday of every month, this event is all about good vibes, great music, and community connection. Entry is just a gold coin, making it the perfect way to end your week with a dance-filled celebration.

🕺 House Classes That Are Popping Off

Speaking of house, it’s been the hottest ticket this month! Our House Basics class with Logan on Tuesdays at 6:15pm has been packed with eager dancers mastering the foundations. Meanwhile, House Open with Illy on Thursdays at 6:15pm has seen dancers letting loose and embracing their unique styles.

The energy in these classes has been electric, and it’s all thanks to our incredible instructors and the community showing up week after week!
